things i need to do at some point:
- watch TV in spanish, for practice
im thinking telenovelas
@seventy theres gonna be a lot of diff slang depending on which country's telenovelas you choose so good luck with that.
@Calanthe yeah. i'll probably choose mexican spanish just because im faaaiiiirly sure that's what we were taught in school but idk. do you have any recommendations?
@seventy uhhh. it's geuinely been years since i last watched telenovelas to be pretty honest - though i can still name the ones i grew up with and you can check them out indiviually to see if anything interests you: serafín, amigos por siempre, amy la niña de la mochila azul, alebrijes y rebujos, maría la del barrio, hasta que el dinero nos separe, betty la fea, destilando amor, fuego en la sangre.
alternatively, some comedies: el chavo del ocho (theres the 70s one and the animated one produced within this decade. pick your poison), una familia de 10, familia peluche, vecinos.
@Calanthe thank you c: i appreciate this
@seventy no prob 👌 if i can think of any series that might be more language-learning friendly i'll let you know
@Calanthe yay! any spanish-language shows would probably be fine, i have conversational understanding and subtitles are my friends
