@paleobiologist posted their first laptop. Here's mine. A Tandy 102 'portable workstation'. Aquired in the early '90s, it saw a lot of coffee shop action writing content for my first website. Up to 30 hours on AA batteries, the model was reportedly used by reporters in warzones sending in stories via the internal 300 baud modem. Willy is uninpressed.

@flay @paleobiologist It took me a long time to get my own laptop, because I never really had much money growing up and my desktop was sufficient.

It's possible that a Thinkpad I got c. 2015 was my first personal laptop, despite my first non-shared computer being c. 1998 and my first shared PC being c. 1991, with access to a C64 even earlier (not that I did much at that age).
