@ackthrice It's the Warcry Corvus Cabal! I just love Warcry, both as a game system and model range. Probably the best thing GW has right now.
@Deathrain Ah cool, now you say it I think I have seen some in a white dwarf. Just not used to seeing new GW models I really like and that have a unique look! Thanks!

The Warcry rule set is fantastic and I love the AoS world, and skirmish level is where it’d be at for me if I were to get into minis, buuut I read that some of the units stats were op. Namely Stormcasts and other “imported into” Warcry. So if you stick to the range intended for the game, you’ll do fine, but IDK, I specifically like the eternals the most in all of AoS. What’s your experience with this supposed issue, @Deathrain?

One if my warbands is Stormcast Eternals Warrior Chamber, which is widely regarded as one of the worst warbands out there. I'm still doing fine, but I also only play at a kitchen table level where nobody has optimized warbands.
I believe it mostly comes down to being able to stack units. When you only have one of the chaos warbands, you have the models in your box and that is it. If you then match with someone who has an AoS army and can basically pick from all units, that's an issue.

@Sandra Oh yeah, there's the Vanguards (sold as just "Stormcast Eternals" who are OP when you spam the cheap birds they have, but otherwise fine, Warrior Chamber which is bad (low model count), but has some options thanks to the Judicators being very fast, and the Sacrosanct Chamber, which is just bad (low model count and slow).
@Sandra @Deathrain I viscerally hate the design of the eternals so I don't think that would be a problem for me. Maybe its the problem that so many others are ripping off gw but their stuff has started to look really generic to me. And they have so many deisgns that just look messy and overly detailed and/or have no good silhouette like the mawcrusha. But I last played/collected about ten years ago and just have a few bits from mortal realms so my opinion is far from informed.

Thats fair! As I say, theres an element of 'its different to what I grew up with so it sucks'. But yeah I havent checked out the game cos im not bothered about the models

@ackthrice @Deathrain I see it more as a spinoff / fantasy version of 40K than an update of the Old World. It helps that I wasn’t the biggest fan of either of those, even though mad respect to all the old fans for how they must’ve felt when GW bungled the initial release of AoS with those “joke” rules.
