Contacting your senators is so easy.

Find them on that list, click their name, and you'll be taken to their contact form.

I just wrote both of mine, letting them know they should tell Mitch to shove it on the SCOTUS seat. Literally took less than two minutes!

@artilectzed ResistBot also exists for the even lazier. https://resist.bot/

@endarchy
I've always seen Resistbot less for the lazy& more for those who have less time to craft a full letter or those with hearing impairments or anxiety that makes phone calls to MOCs difficult.
Personally, I use it daily on my bus ride to work every morning. Quick& simple, it gets my message across& I can start my day feeling like I've accomplished something before I even have my morning coffee.
@artilectzed

@AgentCarter_SSR @artilectzed It's a wonderful tool, I use it all the time myself. It makes communicating with congrescritters super easy.

That ease means those who want to put minimal effort have no excuses either.

@AgentCarter_SSR
I use Resistbot for certain things and the phone for others. It allows me to make multiple contacts on different issues to different government representatives, not just members of Congress.

I would not categorize it as lazy and am not a huge fan of the word as it has ableist connotations.
@endarchy @artilectzed

@TonyStark @AgentCarter_SSR @artilectzed Ableist?

Now that's a stretch.

@endarchy
Not fucking sure why it's my job to educate the internet today, but JFC, use a search engine of your choice.

5 More Phrases That are Actually Ableist

In March I wrote 5 Phrases That Are Actually Ableist. It received a lot of attention, and I realized there were more phrases I thought really needed some attention and deconstruction. Here are 5 more ableist phrases, along with some non-ableist alternatives. […]

Wear Your Voice
@endarchy @TonyStark @AgentCarter_SSR When someone gives you information, it's polite to listen. It is ableist and disabled people have asked other people to substitute words. It's simply kindness to do so.
@TonyStark @AgentCarter_SSR @endarchy @artilectzed Gotta love the internet anarchists mowing over us living with disabilities. Nothing new.

@JoannaBee @TonyStark @AgentCarter_SSR @artilectzed I'm have disabilities myself and so does my SO.

Thanks for making an assumption. 👍

@endarchy @TonyStark @AgentCarter_SSR @artilectzed Then take an attempt at updating your terminalogy. Living with a disability doesn't excuse your asshole behavior on the internet.

@JoannaBee @TonyStark @AgentCarter_SSR @artilectzed My "asshole" behavior?

Because I don't find the term "lazy" even the slightest ableist?

Go find a new hobby, pal. Language policing isn't a good one.

@endarchy I have it on telegram, but it hasn't said anything to me in a while, I actually forgot about it for a bit.
