I worked with NOVA Web Coop to launch a new site for Uber, Lyft and other independent drivers unionizing in Colorado.

We used #LibreOrganize , a #FreeSoftware web platform built for unions.

@clayton Nice looking site, seems to have a very clear focus. Is there a social-network aspect to the organizing - what do they use? Is the idea to communicate mostly by text?

My "50 guidelines for building an effective rank-and-file website" is out of date, but still raises valid questions, I think: https://www.uniondemocracy.org/AUDLinks/website%20guide/buildawebsite.htm

Build a better rank-and-file website

@Matt_Noyes that's a great checklist. I'd say almost all of it holds up. I'd say listing external links are even less relevant today, though the checklist advice is to keep those to a curated, focused list which is still true.

There isn't a social network aspect of the site *yet.* The campaign is young.

There was a request for an internal forum, but I've seen those fall flat many times. I'm really curious how they make use of the internal wiki and voting features though.

@clayton Hey -- do you want to revise it with me and we can put it out there?
@clayton Great work! Congratulations on this.

Me gusta la iniciativa! Alto aporte compa

@clayton looks great! Does this campaign include uber eats bikers and drivers?
@JasonKing It doesn't, though I think there is some work being done on this front through other campaigns.
