Just watched the two videos posted on Trump's account from his little "Conference on American History" and if these are the bits he's most proud of it's pretty amazing.

Both of them are blatantly fascist in tone and content, and unapologetically racist. Railing against "leftists' and treating protest against injustice as basically insurrection is dangerous, frightening stuff.

#uspol #fascism

Keep in mind, fascism's ideology is not conservatism. It's anti-leftism. It's anti-progressivism. It's anti-social justice. Conservatives and the right jump on board with fascists in order to preserve or expand their own power or indulge in the hatred.

Remember that when you hear "the left wing cultural revolution is designed to overthrow the American revolution." None of those words are by accident.

Claims that "left wing indoctrination" has led to "left wing rioting and mayhem" is not only to demonize the left. It's a rationale for instituting *right* wing indoctrination in place of education that'd deemed degenerate.

And on cue, a "national commission to promote patriotic education" is being founded.

Seriously, if you don't feel a chill run down your spine reading that name, you're not paying attention.

It ties directly in with attacks on critical race theory, and programs like the 1619 Project. Anything that teaches structural racism exists or that the US has a long history of racial injustice *will* be expunged.

In its place will be "patriotic education" that teaches American exceptionalism and paints a picture that whites can be proud of. Without all that messy stuff that makes people feel bad or want to change things.

And yeah, the 1984 references just leap out at you, don't they?

They should, both the Trump regime and Orwell draw from the same well. But only one thinks it's delicious.

Holy hell, on the official White House Twitter feed:

"No American student should be made to feel ashamed of their history or identity."

That's not a White Identity dogwhistle, it's fucking plain language. And in light of all that other stuff it might as well be projected into the sky like a racist Bat-signal.

@Nezchan imo the way fascists tell lies to justify what they plan to do is one of the biggest things that people refuse to understand
