I so badly don't want to make this an "I told you so" but when people tell you a user is bad news maybe it's not a good idea to ignore that fact.
Even if they don't repeat their previous behavior exactly, maybe it should've been an indication the last few times they got blocked and reported for harassing users who asked to be left alone.

This has happened multiple times on Fedi and it's pretty fuckin tiresome. When someone demonstrates that they're incapable of giving even a modicum of respect to other users... It shouldn't be a surprise that they continue.

I say it's happened multiple times on "Fedi" not to somehow absolve Snouts, whose moderation should have caught this sooner, but because it is not a Snouts exclusive issue and some of you would do well to remember that fact.

Why are we letting people who clearly have no interest in behaving in a way we want to facilitate stay part of our communities? Enabling this kind of bullshit gets people hurt.
