@coolboymew Videogames in the 80s and 90s: "Too bad! You lost all your lives! Now try again from the beginning! And good luck!"

Videogames now: Press this button to win
@enigmatico @coolboymew And some people keep loosing
@Ytrezar @coolboymew Also:

Videogames in the 80s and 90s: "Beat the game in hard mode under 5 hours without saving to unlock a new, amazing weapon and some skins for your character!"

Videogames now: "Pay 5,99€ to unlock a new skin for your weapon and a hat for your character!"
@enigmatico depends on the game, but this kind of stuff are fine on online free games. It's better than monthly subscription or pay to win content.
For offline games tho, it's shit
@Ytrezar What about online paid games?
@enigmatico It depends... For long life games that need a lot of maintenance/updates I think it can be fine depending on the prize.

But if I take let's say... World Of Warcraft as an example, it's a paid game, with monthly subscription AND cosmetics AND pay to get in game money.

Well
