I made a homebrew staff for D&D for my warlock who’s a long range Eldritch Blast sniper and it’s just a zigzagged staff with a scope tied to it with twine
My DM gave me a silly feat to go with it
I have now been informed that my build is in fact, actually an artificer
@sydia time to build totally around this where you do everything possible to maximize eldritch blast attack chance
@sydia ...or you can take the eldritch spear invocation and the spell sniper feat and try to go for those super long distance trickshots
@sydia If you learn Feather Fall, you can dropshot noobs from the top of a castle tower
@wizard way agead of you, we’ve got a plan to soon have my eldritch blast be 1200 feet
@sydia If you spec once into fighter, you can get the archery fighting style for +2 to attack rolls
@sydia oh actually nvm that wouldn't work, since it specifies weapons

You might be doomed to not hit much. Maybe it'd be better to look into ways to maximize damage, which isn't too hard with eldritch blast
@wizard yeah, got some invocations that adds my charisma mod to each beam so far which rocks
@wizard plus my current blast is +7 to hit
@sydia I mean, your odds of hitting the average enemy at your level is still probably under 35% when taking that disadvantage
@wizard well then I have to up my advantage situations to cancel the disadvantage then
@sydia A valiant use of inspiration
@sydia It'll all be worth it that one rare time you crit and you get to say "boom headshot"
