Sometimes either me or the the dm will improvise a really great line, but I've always forgotten it by the time it comes to write up my notes.

Is it worth recording just for those 1/1000 quips?

@ossifog I record my games with Craig, a recording bot for discord calls. I don't actually spend time listening. I just download the files, eventually spend a few hours combining the different tracks into one with Audacity, and then save them on Mediafire. My original intent was to listen to how I run games and try and identify problems I have as a referee. I'm not sure how useful that has been, cuz, like Alex said, I don't really listen to them often & it's usually after the campaign's ended.
@ossifog I still do it mostly out of a compulsion to keep a record of everything.
I will say that I have a campaign that I ran recently which I didn't record and I regret that because I would like to have gone back and listened to some of the things that I'd done. Realistically, it's not an actual loss though.
@ossifog I give out xp for the best line of the session, which leads to a decent recap of the best lined at the end. I also used to record sessions, but without much better speech-to-text it was of limited value.
@ossifog Definitely! Besides, recording a session will help you with writing up the notes, too :)
