Diabolic Preacher ♒@arabicaah`to...changed to adda. i think @KayKap mentioned as perhaps having her RWA evaluating it or using it. imo, adda scores over mygate mainly for the fact (that i read online and didn't cross verify) that mygate entries are captured in a true caller style db, so no matter where a visitor or service person makes an entry in mygate, it is a known entry in all apartmentts. i am not sure what other services they have expanded to. consider pricing too
@dpreacher can't get any idea of pricing. Even the email they sent is vague "no capital expenditure by society" in their words. @KayKap
@arabicaah if they are interested in business then they need to quote prices, but some of the calculation would be dynamic based on flats i think. @KayKap
Kirti@arabicaah MyGate's no CAPEX by Soc: they provide a device to the society and the licensing is by number of flats that enroll; for us,
with about 60 flats it was coming to 21K per year (incl, GST), 1st year had onboarding charges of about another 4K. We did not go for it because of security reasons; data security being prime. Also because it breaches privacy rules, has control over your contacts & there were some reported SMS access code breaches @dpreacher

@KayKap i probably misremembered a discussion about mygate with you. i have limited experience of maybe using it for a few months. i use adda and @arabicaah needs feedback on mygate
@dpreacher We haven't taken MG; the fed hasn't voted in favor and from our experience in Covid, unlikely to go for it. It tried to insinuate itself in place of the Fed issuing rules that only the Fed has authority to do.. @arabicaah
It has privacy issues, is only cloud based, no on-premise and refuses to offer a 1-time payment deal unlike other apps
Personally, found it too invasive in the test run that i had. I was a dissenting voice!

So @dpreacher, I take it ADDA has no such security issues as @KayKap mentioned..?Are you happy with it? Does it actually make things easier? As compared to having no app..
@arabicaah We don't use any app as of now. If you guys can afford it suggest you explore Zicom & the like for a complete security solution @dpreacher

The reason we started with mygate was because in absence of an association, the builder had put it in place at the time. I can try and clarify doubts about ADDA which was compared against apnacomplex mainly due to pricing structure. Adda handles visitors, domestic help etc., facilities helpdesk n maintenance payments along with a olx like marketplace for all the city. also it has forums for society and ability to create groups, polls
