hopefully by the end of today i should have a couple of new album uploads on youtube,,,,a couple of early house albums from japan
including one of them that sounds either heavily influenced by streets of rage music or *it* heavily influenced streets of rage music

trying something new with my album uploads. tracks will be displayed in the video themselves. making some new thumbnails for them to compensate for that

the downside here is that these thumbnails will most likely not be readable in most states

oh well

anyway these albums are cool and very rough sounding like all good early house tracks do

both groups came together and did an opening act for 808 state around the time they were active, which is neat. seems they were kind of pioneers of the house genre in japan but because there werent any kind of indie labels set up for techno or house music, their only on-record appearances were just on compilation albums by big labels like sony

so these albums are a collection of their recorded material, acquired from old DAT tapes they found and freshly remastered

This album has a particularly "Streets of Rage 2 and/or 3" vibe to it. It's a little janky, it's VERY buzzy and raw, and it fuckin slaps. Also very clearly inspired by some early techno acts that were starting to gain mainstream recognition around the same time.

This album has a more sample-filled sound, its a bit darker and ebm inspired at parts. Lots of hooks based around those samples, kind of a beautiful mess overall, really. Not quite as good as Takahashi Tektronix, but still very much worth a listen.
