Ok, it's going too far. I don't like what's happening and I don't like that someone plays this influence game.
I think we shouldn't intervene.
I just don't like that so many people were marked as "bad people" and whole instances were marked the same.

@charlag 1) isn't that the point of opening your own instance? That you can have complete control over its goings on?

2) The instance was opened to try and stem a rather large tide of harassment, to limited success. Had mastodon.social had more robust forms of dealing with harassment, then the instance wouldn't have needed to be opened. Given a large enough amount of harassment leveled at a person, instance wide blocking is the only manageable way to combat it.
