@Pops "unhoused neighbors" took me a few seconds. you're allowed to call them "homeless people", it's not an offensive term

@sneak How do you know what language people prefer, and why does it bother you enough to reply?

Many unhoused people don't like the term "homeless" because, while they don't have a house, they may or may not have what they consider a home. And many housed people don't consider their source of shelter a home

Again, why does this matter to you? Why did you see that and assume that I'm making something up without having talked to unhoused people about their own preferences? Why would you make this reply?

@Pops words mean things. your opaque words are not communicating clearly.
@sneak I'm going to prioritize respecting the wishes of marginalized people over preventing you from being confused for a few seconds by some big words you haven't seen before
@Pops stop condescending to strangers.
@sneak How about stop criticizing people who didn't ask for your input for trying to be respectful?
@Pops you're not being respectful, it's a farce. feel free to continue replying, i'm out of this thread.
@Pops @sneak omg this douche. "How do I kick people we let down the most even harder? I'll make sure everyone will use the words I understand!". That's a life goal for sure.
@sneak @Pops say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

Unhoused is also a slightly unhelpful as a term since for every person you see sleeping on the street there are 10 more that are couchsurfing with friends or hopping between hostels and airbnbs. I want to say, "people with unstable housing" but that's a mouthful.
