So there's this open posting at my department and this person from my old department applied and put me as a reference. I don't mind, I placed in a good word for him but then he became really kind to me in a very dishonest way. Like he started giving a lot of compliments and started to be like "heyyyy friend, how is my favorite person? By the way what should I know to get hired???" and it just...it feels weird and dishonest to me. I don't like it.
