We understand some people may want to use Pixelfed with family and friends in a closed environment.

Restricted Mode will allow you to require authentication for every page and disable federation support with a single command.

It will be shipping in the next version! #pixelfed

@pixelfed Wouldn’t you want restricted by default, with a per picture / post option to share beyond the restricted group? That way family get to keep a private instance / account but then if they want to share a photo with the Fediverse they don’t need to sign up to multiple instances?
