' Anarchists oppose all forms of hierarchy—every currency that concentrates power into the hands of a few, every mechanism that puts us at a distance from our potential. Against closed systems, we relish the unknown before us, the chaos within us by virtue of which we are able to be free. '

@paulfree14 so the quoter is happy to experiment with non accumulative currencies? I have been thinking a lot recently about electronic currencies with ubi-type measures baked in... Heard of anarcho-capitalism? 'let the free market decide everything, including which market to use' - some aspects are interesting.
@douginamug @paulfree14 i think anarcho-capitalism could be an interesting system as long as money is backed by positive change such as clean water and human needs or just by fully removing the monetary system
@douginamug @nitram what I've know about anarcho-capitalism is, that it's another way of descriping pure capitalism. so, no state and the market to rule all.

@paulfree14 @nitram yeah...I think that ancap is a bit unrealistic. I get the impression that people imagine because there is no monopoly on force (i.e no police) it would work out. But you don't need a monopoly to force people: there are over one hundred countries with their own police forces!

I have been reading into different economists recently. Providing public goods is not easy...

@nitram @douginamug I believe it's easy if organized as a #commons.
And with easy I mean as easy as deciciding with a group of friends you're traveling with, which way take next.

...but without commoners no commons, like without friends no holidays with friends.

...what makes it difficult is that systems build on dominance are fighting commons and commoners.
