The https://www.twit.community/t/automatic-ejecting-of-external-drives/5154/2 discussion about auto ejecting drives bot my bash scripting juices flowing. I ended up making a cron script that will start MPD playing music in the morning and check it every five minutes to make sure that the web radio hasn't stopped and restart it, if it did freeze.
Automatic Ejecting of External Drives

I know you could do it by bash script. Just put the link on your bottom bar and they would all get ejected. A simple check and visual feedback would confirm the process completed.

@souldessin Nice project!

I should get an idea into the front row and give it a try too; a large USB pendrive holding 128 GB is peanuts cost now, and my router has USB port that can take and share it internally. Uhmmmm....

@rgx In case it helps, I just use an rPi and installed MPD, a web for MPD, and MPC. Then I have below on a */5 minute cron, but I have to put it into a proper bash and call it. The one-liner isn't playing nice with cron. Likely no env.

if [ `mpc | awk 'FNR==2 {print $1}' | sed 's/\[//g' | sed 's/\]//g'` == 'playing' ]; then if [ `mpc | awk 'FNR==2 {print $3}' | sed 's/\/.*$//'` == "0:00" ]; then mpc stop; mpc play `mpc | awk 'FNR==2 {print $2}' | sed 's/\/[0-9]//g' | sed 's/#//g'`; fi; fi

@souldessin Wow, nice work, SD! Thank you!

I am getting tired and annoyed of Spotify just dying on my ipad mini and stop playing music. I want a background track, so I can enjoy while working, not to be restarting it every so often.

Pity, as they have some excellent albuns there. Classical Radio via FM doesn't glitch, and is a frequent background here at my work area.

@rgx This is my go to for finding good stations. I have found a bunch of really good ones that don't have any commercials and very few station calls.
