Some white guy on my Facebirb TL: you cant change the meaning of the word 'racism' to mean 'institutional prejudice' to suit your argument.

Unfortunately for you, mon amie (and for anyone else who thinks this way), I like to collect dictionary sets from used bookstores and thrift stores. Preferably sets printed before the 60s.

And y'know what i see 9 times outta 10 when i look up the word 'racism'?

A definition CLEARLY STATING that it has to do with 'institutional prejudice'.

That would mean that your spinning the word 'racism' to mean 'waa waa he dont like me', is YOU spinning the word 'racism' to suit YOUR argument about ME using the word 'racism' correctly.

It's like white people dont realize we speak the same language, and that I -- at least theoretically -- understand the tricks one could play *with* said language.

@somarasu simple guide to fellow white people: if you, a white person, are arguing about the definition of racism with a non-white person, you’re almost certainly being racist. Just shut the fuck up

Same holds for homophobia, transphobia etc

Anyway, defining "racism" within a system of institutional prejudice works too damn well for race discourse for me to abandon it, so that cracker can eat die upset about it.
