I'm so confused about which crisis to prioritise now: my home state burning, Kashmir, the possibility of NRC nationwide in India, the global resurgence of the far-right, India's spiralling economy, gender wars and women's safety, climate change... Sigh.
No wonder I feel like exiting human civilization and society, going to a remote part of the hills and meditating.
@hackiechan the mountains are really cold right now. Snowing everywhere. Look for samandar instead.

Exactly the same thoughts in my head as well @hackiechan And you are right, all of these fires seem to be way above my individual capabilities to fight. So, we join wherever we are able to, do our bit in speaking to as many people as we can.
But for now, I am looking forward to my 10 days in the hills starting next Monday. Escapism maybe - despite this being planned 9 months back - but the down-time is needed.

Don't limit yourself to individual capacity, that is the trap we are all getting into. Actively seek people who share our vision and build movements. We have access to technology, good education and if we don't take the lead to bring people together, then who will? Giving people hope, reminding people of the history of human race, the things we achieved, all are important.
@hackiechan @musafir @Vishsai

@praveen Yes, of course. Doing all of that. Taking part in protests and speaking to people trying to make them change their views. The latter is real slow going - we are unable to make any significant progress which is frustrating. The obtuseness of so called educated folks is just impossible to digest. I reckon that this is a journey that will take time. Count that toot as a frustrated rant, nothing more.

As much as I admire the courage of the people standing up, it is inspiring, what worries me is this lack of patience. I wonder how long people will remain charged up, as it is going to be a slow and long process. It does require a lot of patience. I hope more people realize the change is going to be slow.

@hackiechan @musafir @Vishsai

@praveen The lack of patience is understandable, IMHO. Look at it like this - it didn't take more than a few years to galvanise the negative elements within a large section, right. So there is an natural expectation that the reverse process would also be quick. Except that it is quite easy to roll a rock into a deep pit, just takes quite a bit longer to pull it back out (and a lot more effort as well).
