I'm so confused about which crisis to prioritise now: my home state burning, Kashmir, the possibility of NRC nationwide in India, the global resurgence of the far-right, India's spiralling economy, gender wars and women's safety, climate change... Sigh.
No wonder I feel like exiting human civilization and society, going to a remote part of the hills and meditating.

@hackiechan Though the question to which fires you can put out.

Either look at fires which are the closest to you or you are the most equipped to put out.

Plus clearing a way for the fire to burn and putting a bomb in the fire are also perfectly legitimate techniques to put out a fire.

Plus going to a hill is actually a good strategy. You can't fight anymore if you get burnt out by the fire.

Plus you ain't alone in this firefight.

@Vishsai I can't put out any of these fires. They are way way bigger than me. I can merely add fuel to counter-fires at best. And that's what is hard - I'm having to go against my individual nature which always likes putting out fires, to instead stoke counter-fires.

@hackiechan See that's exactly how you put our large wild fires. You purposely create a fire and burn down parts of the area so even when a wild fire occurs it can't spread and it dies off as a small fire.

Plus Wild forest fires are the nastiest and it can change its direction with the wind. So do pour more fuel as you will definitely help putting out the big fires.
And you need to be a crazy courageous idiot to be doing that and you are a natural at that.

@Vishsai I'm not a crazy courageous idiot at all. I'm a reclusive, academic, highly sensitive, deep-thinking creature who is being forced to act like an online Rambo because Conscience.
Getting fried and burned out each day that I play this Rambo character. I don't think I'm the only one in this position - lot of generally peaceful people are getting completely fried with what's been happening and the actions they're having to take as a result.
In war, only the war-lords survive.

@hackiechan Well we are facing the biggest fire of our life time. And being a reclusive, deep thinking, highly sensitive person you are a Rambo who is actually thousand times more courageous than people who jump into it without thinking.

Rambo knew what he was getting into but still did things because it was the right thing to do. He has been through that hell and survived and could have had a quiet life yet choose to fight just like you.

@hackiechan Yes you have your doubts and yes you will get burnt. And yet here you are doing what you can regardless of all that. So please do keep fighting and yes even Rambo had to take a break a go to a monastery.

And you may feel you are alone and you are getting crushed but like Rambo you are not alone. There are and always will be people who will help you even at your worst.

So you are doing an amazing job already. Believe in yourself.

@hackiechan Thank you. Am just an ordinary person who listen and sees things a bit differently. And those are my skills which I can use right now.

The same way I'm glad you are here. Because you possess knowledge which we don't and you present it without bias.
Trust your words and knowledge. They have an explosive fire power and can help fuel others.

Yes, that is why we all need to be with people who share our vision of the world. When you realize you are not alone, it does recharge you.
You need to actively seek such people and consciously build a network.

And like how elephant does not know its power. I see the biggest challenge to us is our lack of confidence in our powers.

@hackiechan And War doesn't decide what's right, it just shows who is left. But this right here where people are helping and supporting each other irrespective of caste, religion, region, privilege or gender fighting for our motherland and it's people. That is the RIGHT thing.
