LOL, and of course Utah's announcers go straight racist before finding out the story and still didn't want to admit they were just wrong.

Because... Utah.

Yet another example of how white folks sit in wait for opportunities to police and harass Black people who are doing absolutely nothing wrong, and in the case of Lebron, even doing some good in the world.

LeBron James responds to Jazz announcers who called him disrespectful for shoeless celebration

LeBron did give away his shoes for a good reason, though

One of the first articles I'm going to write once my blog is up and running again is how Obama, LeBron and Serena prove white people believe the American Dream is just for them.

All of these public figures have gone out of their ways to lead exemplary lives under the white gaze and have culture defining careers yet white people *still* hate them.

Yet, they want us to 'celebrate' the racist sex offender they put in office. And it's not the first time.

The hypocrisy is fucking absurd.

Serena is one of the greatest, if not the greatest athletes the US has *ever* produced, but she still does not get the benefit of the doubt that any average white player does

LeBron might be the great basketball player the world has ever seen and he came from less than nothing and has helped millions of people, yet white folks go out of their way to remind him he's a 'nigger'.

Obama was everything white people said Black folks should be, but they still want to tear down everything he has done.

We should be celebrating the achievements of all of these folks because what they've accomplished has never been done before, Black or white. We are living in a privileged time to be in an era where we are witness to this kind of talent, drive, intelligence and success against overwhelming odds.

Instead we get salty white men calling LeBron 'disrespectful' for doing something very nice for a fan.

Even when we excel, white people still hate us. That's how racist the US is and always has been.

@Are0h Kapernick being one of the best quarterbacks ever and not being allowed to play because he dared take a knee over cops committing murder without repercussion is what turned several of my friends and i off sports in general

@bonzoesc I can't blame you for doing that.

I grew up playing sports and have a lot of friend that play pro sports and I know the work they put into doing it, so I'm such a fan of their drive and talent, so I'm always going to support.

But American sports is kind of shit show.

@Are0h oh yeah totally, sports are wonderful and necessary, it’s the capitalization of it that’s the problem

@Are0h Something that's become crystal clear for me is how much folks like this constantly lie about their values. They don't care about talent, goodness, "meritocracy," fairness, justice, or ethics. In the end, they only care about upholding their fantasy of superiority in the most abusive ways they can get away with.

I feel bad that I have to withdraw my impulse to respect the views of others for such a large percentage of the population, but they keep revealing how much malice drives them.

@Are0h America's largest and most lucrative export is hypocrisy.
