Finished scanning the Lomography 800 films. All 120 format x 5. Four taken with the RZ67 and one with the C220 (6x6).

This was my first time developing colour film (C41) at home - a BIG step...

I think I am now hooked on all developing options; What about E6 you ask - well the price of slide film and the quality it gives is perhaps the closest you will get to digital - so why bother..?

Although last time I was in Canada my friend and I did get out the projector to look at some slides from old expeditions. And, that was also a 'buzz' @Ian So maybe in the future for the odd occasion I may splurge on some film.

For now though B&W and Colour dev at home is great, and will save some cash too.

Here are a four from the Mamyia C220.

Mallaig Harbour and Glen Sheil.

Lomography 800

A 7-photo album.

@matt My daughter recently returned my 35mm slide projector.

I shall have to power it up to see if it still works etc. No longer have a screen though - bit of white sheet or wall just doesn"t cut the mustard.

I used to do E6 at home with formaldehyde final bath - perish the thought - as a preservative!

I'm not sure about C-R film/E6 and scan? Think that is where (I) should use digital. With monochrome film I get it - with slides, not so much.

@Ian - I still have my projector & screen - & a box of 1000's of unsorted (dusty) slides.

My friend was incredibly organised with his collection - it was great sitting after dinner and reliving (for him) old memories 😉

I had half a thought about documenting next years Canada trip on slide film, just so that I could get the screen out to view 😃 It's the cost of film though and then processing...

I used to with my dad print Cibachrome's in his darkroom and from my images at the time.

@matt I'm loving your colour work. 📷👍😎

@Ian - I could get used to it 😆

Maybe a combination of colour C41, B&W C41 and B&W reversal C41 - just one set of chemicals then... One methodology... and I could still print the B&W to paper...

:+1

@matt Ahh, the old expeditions.

@hundwalden - and your memories of them were great to hear and see.

The more so because they were on a room sized screen and not a computer sized one; along with the beam of light across the room and bits of dust particles and the clunk of the slide change + the odd missed or stuck slide.... It all adds to the experience 😃
