So, a religious "man made climate change" fanatic calls those of us that reject his baseless views "deniers". As in "holocaust deniers"! And, not only that, but he tries to command other people as what to do in their social life! And that attitude gets "likes" and "re-posts". Certainly you deserve each other. What a joke!

I also don't use Whatsapp but every fucking day people pressure me to register. It happens at work, with friends and some other social occasions.
I can't make almost anybody to use Matrix/Riot or Signal. There's some people on Telegram, though.

Lydia Conwell@comzeradd Aye, decentralised social media is great, and desirable, but on Mastodon for instance there are a hell of a lot of computery type people and a real lack of social/political commentators. Basically, I find more of what I want to read on FB and Twitter - because that's where those people are.
I guess the decentralised platforms need to encourage more varied content and to also reach out on the usual ad-verse platforms to get more people to ditch them.

Do not say "Stop using Facebook"
but say "Stop working for Facebook"
because every "user" in fact is working for facebook by delivering /providing very personal data 24/7 - unsalaried.
And he/she is more used than using.
