I stayed away for a day after yesterday’s bitterness and today I realise Comrade Nambiar is restricted from posting. He has been accused of casteism and nationalism both of which he is against. Can the admins looks into this @citrustwee

Casteism reported by Upper caste is a drama because they want to hold on to caste hegemony which is discriminatory and comrade is last person to support nationalism

Seems like he is an apologist for the millions of people oppressed and killed by totalitarian regimes of Stalin and Mao. He says that his beloved dictators just eliminated a few human beings that threatened their revolution. Not sure how someone that thinks dissent needs to be eliminated through genocide can be not considered an agent of hatred & homophobia. Non religious faith is as toxic as religious faith particularly blind belief systems like Communism.

I stopped following him very early on when he went crazy with his 'your mamma' jokes. I don't know about other issues (because I don't follow him), but I would have reported his posts for misogyny and sexism, if I had the energy to engage.

Okay, I'm going to break this down for you. Please bear with me.

1. Re matters of sexual violence, in addition to what we talk about, it is also important HOW we talk about it. Should we talk about rape as a tool of oppression? Yes. Start a discussion that is respectful of the victims and what they go through? Sure. Use it in a punchline (yes, it is a punchline) in a meme to make a point? Absolutely NOT. THIS trivializes rape.

2. I can rage against your 'so called' misogyny AND rage against Hindutva. The two aren't mutually exclusive. Similarly, you could be making some excellent points against fascism and casteism AND also be putting out content that is sexist (refer to those horrid 'yo mamma' posts, few attached). The two aren't mutually exclusive. And if I question you over the latter, I am not automatically enabling fascism or a Hindu Rashtra.

3. Your posts are not above scrutiny simply because you speak up against fascism (which is great) if you also make misogynistic comments. Are you telling me that anyone who disagrees with you, regardless of what the disagreement is on, is pro-fascism? Have we put ourselves on a pedestal? Possibly.

That's all I have to say. Guess it's still possible to build a platform where fascism isn't welcome but sexism will follow us everywhere.

1. How we talk about Rape. We are well beyond the point of addressing a civilised society if that same bunch is in power now. I am not just talking about giving a slap in the face of fascists in the only language they know, i am talking about Liberals as well.
