@Poonamsharma Any party that hs a national support base will hv a wide spectrum of reasons for that support. It is a continuum. However it is up to the leadership to decide its priorities. The BJP leadership (2 persons) chose to promote an agenda of hate and bigotry. Surprise surprise! Next election they got a huge majority. So there is nothing strange in thinking all it’s supporters like to hate. Silent of Dhritarashtra was the main reason for Mahabharata

I agree with everything you say. Except, I'm not sure exactly how much hacked EVMs helped the bjpee in 2019.

With the paper trails NOT matching in 370 out of 540 seats - and the absolute silence of the EC, this looks like a big factor! In such matters, I think it is up to the accused to prove their innocence, for, stealing votes ranks right at the top of the list of Most Heinous Crimes!!

@NSure
Shouldn't this be subject matter of litigation now. The Congress has legal stalwarts like Sibbal and Singhvi in its fold who can wage a long battle. Or is the INC so short of funds that it cannot afford their services?

Absolutely, Vivek! I too wonder - day and night - just WHY hasn't the Opposition demanded an enquiry on the elections! Apart from EVMs, the very idea of electoral bonds is the work of congenital cheats!! RG has even said this in his talks!

It's unlikely that a party doesn't have funds to fight it in court. My guess is that the judiciary is so screwed, they're biding their time...

Which puts it in a chicken or egg situation...

@NSure Oh I am sure they have sufficient funds, it was just an aside.
Perhaps they (the opposition) have too much on their plate at this moment.
I guess that would be a topic for a separate discussion

Indeed and not just the Oppn... With JNU, Kashmir, Nagaland burning, poor performances in Maha & Haryana, Ayodhya verdict sending a numbing chill across, economy nosediving and nowhere to turn, US clearly not favouring India, China making inroads into border areas, adverse reaction on sale of BPCL, cringeworthy statements out of the blue & regularly by 'ministers', the bjpee has a lot on their plate too, if they choose to see it!!

@NSure
They do see it but right now they seem to be looking through the wrong end of the telescope. Also I think our PM seriously suffers from the "main hoo na" complex. (have I coined a new description?). So by the time they set right the telescope they would be flattened.
I would have been happy to see them flattened but I can't because sadly the country will be (i hear you say it is already) suffering the consequences.

You've taken the words out of my mouth, friend Vivek... We are suffering - my retirement nest egg doesn't look that solid anymore but hopefully, things will change back before it is too late...

Everywhere, there are stories of 'bad times are amongst us'...

modi (I refuse to put a capital letter to his name) is schizophrenic: praises Bapu in one breath, gives ticket to Sadhvi the next. I wonder if he is even aware of what is really going on at the rank & file level! Or is it vomit shah (that's my name for the serpent) controlling him??
