#Kompare is a graphical #diff program.

Kompare compares files side-by-side, line-by-line. Changes (differences) in Kompare are intuitively marked, and can be applied or reverted on a line-by-line basis. Kompare can compare many files, show pre-diffed files, and blend diff files back into their original sources.

@skunksarebetter It looks very useful. However I don't use KDE for my desktop environment. I may have to install it to try Kompare though.

@intr0 The entirety of KDE isn't required to use Kompare, only select KDE libraries and base programs.If you install Kompare through your package manager the manager will install the necessary helper libraries. Do note that the download will likely be larger, since many things would be downloaded.

@skunksarebetter Thank you for the helpful info. I'll install it now. I do miss Kleopatra, though. So maybe I'll do a full KDE install. I'll let you know. Again thank you!

@skunksarebetter Full KDE install. Kompare *works*. I gave it my most recent "adblock" filter (11-15) & one from ~ 1 year ago which used regex. I'm very impressed with it as well as how fast KDE runs on Debian 10. I'm glad I installed it!
