For those of you in Mumbai, Tata Literature Live! has started today. They've got three venues (NCPA at Nariman Point; Title Waves in Bandra; Prithvi Theatre in Juhu) and some very interesting panels with lots of good writers. Also, festival bookshops!
I'm moderating a panel on Saturday morning about cultural appropriation with Monica Ali, Perumal Murugan and Kannan Sundaram. It's at NCPA at 10.30am.
Go through the schedule, pop into stuff that sounds interesting and pick up books at the festival bookshop. Seriously. All of us writers could do with the support of readers.
On Sunday, Tata Lit Live! will announce the winners for a set of awards. The fiction jury comprised Arshia Sattar, Jerry Pinto, Shashi Baliga, @zigzackly and me. We chose the Book of the Year and best First Book of the Year, but more importantly, I think we put together two excellent longlists and shortlists.
