I’m afraid I can’t handle all emoji request since it’s just to many🥺🥺 I want to offer everyone a chance for their emoji but I’m afraid this isn’t going to work..

How about.. For everyone who supports the server on Patreon, LiberaPay or any other means they can all send in one request for a custom emoji?

It’s very hard for me keeping it up this way🥺🤓

@stux

Hey man, just make a priority list in this order

1. Core functionality. Speed, stability AND most important, longevity (meaning sustainability). First and foremost, these are what you need to focus on, to expend time and money on.

2. Features. 500 characters vs 1000. More columns, narrower columns, adjustable font sizes in advanced view on the web interface. Not sure where these are configured/setup, so this is entirely your call to consider.

@stux

3. Least priority - cosmetics. People want emojis? Give them choices - on or off. 😄

Seriously, custom emojies should be strictly a no-no, even for paying supporters. That's NOT what they're paying for. Supporting you shouldn't be a conditional thing.

@bharatvarma I like that yes 🙂

I have some things on my to-do list for this instance 😉 Thank you for the tip!

@bharatvarma @stux True, instead of creating new emojis, loading of current emojis should be made faster. It is taking a lot of time to load emojis when I scroll on the emoji page.

Also, clicking a toot to open its details is taking more time.

Clicking a link to a toot is taking much time too.

I am facing the above issues on Tusky app. Don't know whether the problems are due to the app or server performance.

@anupverma Thank you let letting me know! I will take a look into this issue

Further, all chats to be grouped together based upon re-tooted subject, so chat relevancy is maintained. Currently this is a BEEG problem

@bharatvarma @stux don't go for a 1000 words. then it will become a another Facebook. better go for tootlonger.

@DILIPDRAVID @stux

"it will become a another Facebook"

Why not? Would that be a bad thing or a good thing?

I, for one, would quite love this thing to become a viable replacement for FB as well. It should be simple enough to have a special type of toot (maybe a separate column) for longer posts/articles etc. (Not suggesting added work for you, @stux , this is just a conceptual discussion :) ).

Thoughts?
