There seems to be a group of people thinking Congress shouldn't support a "communal" Shiv Sena govt in Maharashtra. I truly fail to understand this.
Firstly, anyone imagining Congress to be secular is purely delusional. Likely out of desperation for non-BJP alternatives.
Secondly, if this is about supporting honorable behavior, then this should have been deliberated BEFORE offering support.
Preventing a non-BJP govt in Maharashtra ONLY SERVES BJP. That too after Shiv Sena's big gamble.
Congress is in a pathetic state. Having power in a state like Maharashtra is nothing to sneeze at, even if it is minor power in a coalition - hey, get more seats, yes?
Shiv Sena has finally acted on its discontent with the BJP. At this point, forcing it to accept BJP or else be wiped out if there is a re-election is Congress acting like a literal foot soldier of the BJP.
Teaching those who piss BJP off a lesson.
These days, even people claiming high moral standards have forgotten the basic value of things like honor. If you give your word, it must be gold. Or there is no reason to trust you. Particularly with the Congress track record.
As for Shiv Sena being communal. Seriously, when is the last time they have done anything massively communal? Right now they are a bit ideologically adrift, given that their "marathi manus" has been defanged by BJP company.
Fact is, Congress doesn't play well with itself or anyone else.
Anyone recall its "support" to AAP's minority govt in Delhi? Gave it enough support to hobble it. Got wiped out next time.
Congress screws this up now, it is game over for it in Maharashtra also.
And for that matter with a lot of people still hoping it gets its act together.

I disagree. I.am no fan of SS, but it is an opportunity to keep bjp away for as long as possible. This reminds me of the famous MISSION IMPOSSIBLE dialogue - desperate times, desperate measures.
And if inc n bjp r unable to milk current situation, it is better they r routed every where and make way for someone else
