Today’s my birthday so I thought I’d give you all a little present:

@small-tech/https, a batteries-included plug-and-play replacement for the Node.js https module with automatic provisioning of both locally-trusted and globally-trusted certificates (via mkcert and Let’s Encrypt)

Happy birthday y’all!  🎉

Introducing @small-tech/https, a batteries-included drop-in replacement for the Node.js https module

@small-tech/https is a drop-in replacement for the Node.js https module with automatic provisioning of both locally-trusted and globally-trusted TLS certificates.

Note: yesterday’s npm package was missing certain files from the lib/ folder due to the existence of a second package.json there (left over from the mono-repo refactor). That’s now fixed in version 1.0.1.

I’ve also fixed an issue with the example in the blog post.

All tested and working from a clean install now. Enjoy! :)

@aral Super dope! Happy BDay!
@seven Thanks! Do let me know how you get on with it if you give it a shot. It’s version 1.0.0 but the bits have been working in Site.js for a while and my next task is to refactor Site.js to use it, where it will be properly battle tested :)
@aral I'll give it a try this afternoon, if I have useful feedback I'll certainly pass it on.
@seven Thanks, appreciate it :)

What do you always get on your birthday?
Another year older!

(Kind of sadistic, right? Well, happy Bday, anyway.)

Happy birthday @aral, thanks to #SmallTechnology for building the tools we need!
