Not really.
I gave up watching TV a long time ago, but whenever I've been forced to watch almost any Indian news channel, I've been left with the impression that the objective is never to disseminate news or information, it is primarily to incite and provoke.
A live conversation may be great for discussing issues in a small group (over chai, ideally), but it is far better to put forth a well done writeup for issues like this.
Carry one to the studio. :)
