@sazius Are you at #fscons this year? :)
@oplch Sorry, unfortunately not :-(
@sazius Ok, because it feels like quite a weak !gnusocial presence / update stream from this years !fscons :) #fscons
@oplch Yeah, I guess it was a smaller event as well this year. I think it was limited to ~100 attendants.
@sazius Yes. Yet unfortunate with no (or little) GNU Social presence from there though! :( Still hope it gets recorded, many awesome speakers.
@oplch Best way to increase the GS presence on an event is to get people to start using it.
@mmn @oplch ... and the best way to get a conf to start using GS is for GS:ers to go there. :-)
@oplch @sazius Really? I was considering going, but didn't feel the speakers were very interesting.
@clacke @sazius Maybe I was most interested in Vinay Gupta & Dougald Hine.
@oplch @sazius Vinay Gupta was the only name I recognized when I saw the preliminary list. I find him more quirky than interesting.
@clacke OK. I have only heard his name, just thought he seemed interesting then. Can really recommend Dougald Hine and The Dark Mountain Project. :)
Did anyone here go to this year's !fscons? Happy to be proven wrong on how interesting the talks (or the hallway track!) were.
I like the concept of few keynotes and focus on hallway track, but worried that it was too small to find convos matching your own interests.
