AAAA: dns record and battery*
@quad this is fake news
@pea pretty sure there's A batteries too, but they're completely dead. Unlike AAAA batteries which still exist in some weird corners
@quad @pea the Wacom Bamboo Ink pen and some of their iPad pressure sensitive pens use AAAA batteries. I had to order them from shady shops with probably shady DNS records so it all comes around.
@lastfuture @pea The Microsoft Surface Pen uses AAAA batteries too, I think most battery powered drawing pens do. I've seen them in a few TV remotes too and once in a wall clock if I remember correctly.

Certainly not common, especially in today's age of rechargeable batteries, but AAAA batteries still float around here and there.
@lastfuture @pea @quad It’s AAAA batteries all the way down.
@lastfuture @quad @pea You can also pry open a 9 Volts block battery. Good chance to harvest six AAAA batteries, although with soldering lugs. https://blog.xkcd.com/2007/08/20/testing-the-9v-battery-hack-or-assault-on-battery/
Testing the 9V Battery Hack (or: Assault on Battery)

@quad @pea A is also a battery too. There's also 1/2AA, 4/5AA, A11, A23, and A27, but I don't think we need to worry too much about those in DNS yet!
@cefiar @quad @pea also B, C and D-Batteries
