@g @bengesko Should I mention that he LOVES to snuggle with those he's comfortable with? ^,==,^

He'll climb up your chest, all on his own mind you, and then press his head/muzzle into the crook of your neck until he deems everything comfortable enough.

@phobos_dthorga @g Aaaahhhh what a cutie. I love reptiles so much. I wish my fiancee wasn't squicky about snakes, I totally want a ball python.

@bengesko @g Ball Pythons are like the cutest! I can totally understand why you would like to adopt <3

I just prefer to use that kind of language too as saying you've 'purchased' a pet makes me feel all dirty >,==,>

Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the individuals you love though!

@phobos_dthorga Yeah, I'd prefer to adopt bc snakes are the kind of pet that get rehomed because "They're not as cool as I thought" or "new SO/partner/etc is scared of them" and it's sad :( Scalies need love, too!

@bengesko I hear that happens with a lot of scalies and for Lizards such as Bearded Dragons, it's usually because people didn't realize how much they ate as hatchlings and/or the intense amount of attention they require :(

Iggy does a temper tantrum in his vivarium if I don't take him out *at least once a day* for two hours, flipping over the tiles, tipping over the tree branch, moving his rock, spreading out his food everywhere, etc.

Sometimes I think he's hell-spawn c..c

@phobos_dthorga one of my exes had a ball python and she'd escape her tank to come cuddle with you if you didn't pay attention to her- I woke up with her on my stomach one morning! She was curled up in a ball snuggled under my shirt XD

@bengesko OMG! I've actually teared up at reading this, I'm honestly not sure what else to say ;..;

I've always believed reptiles of every kind to be quite intelligent (even emotionally), and this is just further proof.
