When we say ‘never again’, we don’t mean ‘never again a Holocaust’, or we do mean that, but we mean more. We mean never again the yellow stars, never again krystalnacht, never again the work camps. Never again the laws that single out a group for persecution out of fear and hate.

Because if you wait to say ‘never again’ until the cattle trains are rolling, you’ve waited too long.

@jessmahler The cattle trains are already rolling. We have the first 8 victims.
@horatius @jessmahler "Never again" should have taken effect when Trump campaigned by vilifying people for their religion or nationality/ethnic background, but apparently too many Americans can only recognise a nazi when he's wearing a swastika armband. -_-
@jessmahler It's so sad to me. A lot of Jewish people have been speaking out against the holocaust museum's statement but they don't have a platform so it's going unnoticed. The whole point of the holocaust museum is to teach about how this happened and how it could happen again if we don't stop it in it's tracks.
@jessmahler Essentially the statement from them recently is cowardly and is basically saying not to ever compare anything to the process that lead up to the holocaust. As if the dehumanisation, excuses for deaths at the hands of ICE and so on isn't a concerning direction we are heading in. "Well we haven't done what was done to Jews in Nazi Germany yet so it's fine". Great.
