Let's hop into the russian Wasteland with #MetroExodus on #Twitch!

Okay wow this is coming to an end a bit faster than i thought.

Stream over for now. But kinda sad that the game is likely to be over soon.

So, not yet done with #MetroExodus but i have thoughts.

Like, all of a sudden, this new wagon for the train appeared + a vehicle with no indication where it came from? The hell?

Then in the level before, an NPC talks to me about a situation that affects the whole area we are in right now and we should warn a friendly NPC we met there.

Friendly turns up, it's not discussed but the goodbyes are delivered as if they already talked about it. #MetroExodus

Then there's the whole Caspian level, which - thanks to you getting a vehicle there - feels like a throwaway Far Cry level. (which is a shame because between New Dawn and Metro, i know which postapocalypse i'd rather play) #MetroExodus
The level is very huge, open, not a lot of interesting sights because its a desert level, very Mad Max like, even in the society that developed there. It's very straight forward but also kinda boring to go through the level. #MetroExodus
Volga and Taiga on the other hand feel more complete.
Taiga generally felt much more like a more classic Metro level due to it being a LOT more guided while keeping the level pretty open and letting you tackle it your own way. But still just a very big tunnel. #MetroExodus
Volga DOES feel a lot more like a Crysis level though. And that's good because i damn love Crysis for it's level approach. You have the whole map, can theoretically go wherever you want, but due to objectives, you have some rough guidance on where to go. #MetroExodus
However, due to you being in a different spot each level, it's also hard to really care about the people who you meet after the level is done. Like okay you leave Volga and it's cultist inhabitants, who cares. And while your own companions are nice and charming.... #MetroExodus
... not to forget the good voicework, i feel they could have been fleshed out a lot more. Worst of all is Miller, but he had a bad start with me anyway coming fresh from the #Metro2035 book.
Would i recommend the game? Yes. Absolutely. I still have a good time there and enjoy the gunplay and the game often enough guides you into the classic scenario that Metro does well, such as taking out camps stealthily and scrounging for stuff needed to survive. #MetroExodus
Overall i think, @[email protected] did a fantastic job with the game, despite some visible seams and a few issues like grass/trees/debris floating meters above the ground. #MetroExodus
I am looking forward to the DLC too. For the next Metro games - without knowing internals at 4A - i wish for a more clear communication of the vision within the game, but i think even then i'm gonna get it Day 1. #MetroExodus
