When we made our Mastodon account 15 months ago, growth was slow. But the Fediverse kept expanding, and now Mastodon competes with Twitter!

@freedomboxfndn don't forget to thank the whole #fediverse. Your 1000 followers are not all on mastodon. By thanking only one actor, you are denying the existence of the others and their role in what makes this network what it is.

@freedomboxfndn that being said..... Congrats on the subscribers! These projects will attract people stuck in #gafam and eventually topple the giants! Thank you for doing what you do! I have been recommending you to people around me and definitely will continue to do so 😃

Even with #freedombox, switching to selfhosting is a tough sell.....
