Which words do you use instead of Crazy and Insane?

I keep wanting to write them, but I also want to get away from using them.

@maloki I'm not sure. For a while I tried to use illogical but it made me sound like I was quoting Spock, but it might work if you use it enough?
@maloki I’ve been using “wild” a lot
@zigg That's a good one
@maloki @zigg Sometimes the problem goes away if you are more specific about the behaviour you're trying to describe - was it outrageous? astonishing? shocking? bizarre? peculiar? unpredictable? unexpected? wrong? cruel? careless? colourful? obnoxious? wonderful? brilliant? improbable? stunning? selfless? excitable? twitchy? obsessive? scandalous? innovative? unique? ... or did you mean it was actually indicative of real mental illness?
@maloki @zigg "wild" most of the time; "out of pocket" is good too. Occasionally "evil" or "cruel", which, yeah, ableism. Illuminating practice for sure.

@SallyStrange @maloki @zigg "Loopy" is one, or "lost all self-control."

I'll use "evil" if there's intention. The truly mentally ill don't (generally) have that malice. "Cruel" I use to describe impact.

@zigg @maloki wild has a colonialist ring to it if you ask me. I would avoid it too.
@maloki
The big one i hear a lot is "wild" like, "woah that's wild". There's also "that's some nonsense" and i like to say "that's ridiculous" a lot
@flout @maloki Okay, "that's some nonsense" is officially my new favorite phrase.
@maloki I use "Absurd" a lot.
@Skiant That's a good one too!
@maloki batshit is a colourful one although often one of the words you're looking to replace follows it
@bryn yeah, I wouldn't think about batshit without "batshit crazy"
@maloki Lots of good suggestions you've gotten already, but here's one popular in some technical circles:
Refer to an idea or action as a "footgun". As in a gun that only shoots your own foot. A self-inflicted wound that would be easily preventable.

@maloki I definitely use wild most often. In my vocabulary those words usually had the place of good, but unexpected or or suprising.

So words like unexpected, awesome, ridiculous, amazing, suprising, weird (though I wouldn't use it to describe a person unless it's in a complimentary way), strange, etc. are also good.
