Dave Rubin had Carlgon on his show to take questions. When I asked this one, they did not answer. Why? Because publicly entertaining it legitimizes it - which is my assertion in this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evQa8YZlQtc - TMOI doesn't verify "goodness" or "validness," it functions as a popularity test. It is not a system (it's a metaphor) and it results in an attention economy. Deplatforming my question is evidence towards this assertion. https://mastodon.social/media/Icy6gNUbLDBrV6H0D1Q
I'm fairly excited to make a video tonight; it's going to be about Rubin not taking my question. Going to show how it backs up my points about the marketplace of ideas.
@petercoffin logical positivism, has a premise that science is innately ethical. we know that's bullshit, and it was used to justify Nazi torture, experiments, and murder. science needs philosophy and ethics. the same must be held true for economics, law, and politics. none of those are ethical professions. the marketplace of ideas is a blending of a whole bunch of unethical bullshit.
