@jacethechicken @bewitchyourmind @citrustwee tbh just telling them that cis wasn't a slur instead of feeding the drama would have been nice. as someone said "if you aren't educating your normies, someone else will". this is how people become redpillers.
i don't expect trans people to educate every single cis person, but if someone planted the wrong idea in an uninformed cis's head, you should at least not reinforce it by insulting them for falling for it.

@grainloom @jacethechicken they very well know its not a slur. it has never been used as a slur. they want to blab their mouth as if theyre oppressed because they hate trans people. same thing goes with white supremacists who think "jews and hispanics are taking over!!" they know thats not happening, they intentionally drive this narrative. they know this.

@bewitchyourmind @jacethechicken Are you intentionally misunderstanding me or am I really this unclear? It's a fact that humans are more responsive to emotions than arguments. I did not say "make fascists feel bad for you". I was mostly reacting to the flat Earth point, I guess I should have made that clearer. Flat Earth is not about evidence, it's about a feeling of distrust. People don't believe in mediums due to evidence, but often due to despair.

@bewitchyourmind @jacethechicken It's not the fascists whose minds need to be changed. If you look at how electoral campaigns are planned (eg. the groups Cambridge Analytica was targeting) it's often about grabbing the people who are undecided.
But hey, hopefully you know what you are doing and you aren't alienating those people and hopefully my assumption that that "cis is a slur" person was undecided is incorrect.
