Great news! DJs.Social is going to keep running past the end of the month. I'm making a few changes to the rules of the instance though...

1) self-promo posts are now tolerated because I don't have time to police every posts. If you don't want to see promo posts from a given user, don't follow them.

2) Don't forget to report abuse and offensive posts via the site (right click on ... under a post and report the user).

3) For now the instance is invite-only. I need to find a way to remove the spam bots that created accounts and prevent new ones from being created. If someone wants an invite there is an email on the about page of the instance or you can actually invite them yourself in Settings->Invite People.

@damien what if self-promo posts were required to have a #promo tag? That way users can decide to filter out if the want...

@Django that's a good idea. I will probably do that myself but I don't want to police everyone that doesn't.

I presume "#promo" would work
