How does SearX hide your traffic if you're hosting it yourself? (I'm lazy and did not look it up)

Also qwant.com really should be mentioned since it tries to be a complete search engine and not just an meta engine like DDG or SearX. It still relies on Bing for english results (and pictures), but french and german web indexing is already done by Qwant.
