Ok (German) people listen up. Yes, music is a matter of taste and I won't argue with that. Mine for example is all but ordinary.

But seriously WTF is going on here right now? I will post you in the next toots the Top 10 and I am getting messed up by the minute. What is going on with all this fucked up rap shit around here? Do people really party up on this?

Aber der Bra Typ, please don't even get me started.
@luricaun Jo. Capital Bra ertrag ich auch als Hip-Hop-Fan keine dreißig Sekunden. :D
@esureL You just made my day. <3
@luricaun Dont Call it Rap. 😉
@Hudson I apologize in the name of true MCs from back in the days, ya know.
@luricaun muss ja nicht back in da dayz sein. Die guten Rapper schwimmen halt unterm Radar. Also ich mein halt straight Rap. 😊
@luricaun its equally bad across the North Sea here in the UK, except its (sometimes) British people pretending to be USA gangster rappers.about 80% of young people use it as "wallpaper music" when driving or doing something else, there is an underground rap scene but alas (at least in UK) its become a lot darker with the lyrics and its feeding into street violence in cities and that is attracting authorities and (more) censorship (the EDM scene has already been "cancelled" b/c drugs paranoia)

@vfrmedia This insight is really interesting to hear from first hand experience. I guess you live in the UK IIRC?

About the EDM scene I guess there was always drugs and probably will be depending on where you hang out. Will it be shut down here in Germany? I don't think so but drug raids happen for sure.

I am not really surprised about while rap music gets darker it brings along more violence. Unfortunately that is of course. Again don't know the scene over here at all.

@luricaun I grew up in London, moved to Reading (SE England) for a bit and most recently to Ipswich.

What I've seen in last 10-15 years especially is massive backlash against any venues that open late, play loud music or where drugs might be consumed (irrespective of music played, genres, ethnicity of people attending). my DJ/promoters friends have mostly all "given up and grown up". its all over the UK news especially the Guardian (might not be as much a problem in Germany or anywhere else).

@vfrmedia I am sorry to hear that. Why? Because I think that Club culture is a very important part of music and society. One can for sure argue about drug use but still music is not the enemy and from what I can read between the lines it seems that it is seen this way in the UK and that is truly sad.

@luricaun the main risk from drugs is when there is no testing of strength (leading to accidental ODs) and also the only clubs/venues are 10-100km away with trains being way too expensive and not running 24 hours that encourages young people to drive under influence (which does lead to crashes).

But targeting the domestic music scene still means all the USA plastic gangster culture gets through and makes things worse for Europeans..

@vfrmedia Well said. I guess there is nothing more to add to that.

Thanks for engaging to this conversation.

@vfrmedia I guess it was engaging IN this conversation, right? Well I try... And fail. But it's ok I guess.
@luricaun thankfully I don't think its yet as much a problem for Germany but people need to keep a careful watch on their local venues and clubs and make sure they aren't lobbied against by politicians (I've already read about right wing politicians trying this in Berlin)
@vfrmedia Yeah no shit. But I guess Germans will be (hopefully) more resilient when it comes to shut down any kind of music or club scene.
@luricaun I think its most important for teenagers/young adults to have access to venues/resources to make music, otherwise the scenes/genres stagnate (as older ones grow up/start families). I thought it was cool that a uni lecture hall was allowed to have a chiptune jam recently, although I can't remember though if it was yourself playing or @Bobo_PK ..
@vfrmedia I most certainly not because I wasn't participating. Then it must have been @Bobo_PK or maybe @3D63 ?
@luricaun @vfrmedia @3D63 well, we have keys and never asked ;-)

@Bobo_PK @luricaun @3D63

often thats the best way to do it 😆

@vfrmedia I don't know why I'm here but yeah, all of this 😁 Please don't stop jamming the shit outta conservatives censorship and spread the youth appealing for music ! @Bobo_PK @luricaun
@luricaun The german Top100 never have had any appeal to me...
@anathem I have to be honest some of those mainstream pop songs I do like a lot. Not all of them but still. And then I do love shit like The Prodigy, AC / DC and Chopin.
