Didn't think we'd get a major network sitcom explicitly saying there's no ethical consumption under capitalism, but here we are
@RuckCohlchez There's at least *someone* in the writer's room with a handle on things, considering too the Elon Musk joke earlier this season (which starts out as the kind of vapid joke most mainstream comedy would make vis-a-vis Musk, then suddenly veers out of it).
@keithzg remind me what the joke was? There was also Jason's "What kind of Good Place wouldn't take in refugees?" comment last episode.
@RuckCohlchez Someone mentions something about Mars and Tahani gives a formulaic "as my friend Elon once said to me," joke and in that moment I felt the clammy hand of establishment Liberalism, of SNL, of every easy network comedy sensibility closing around the show, but then she gets a look on her face and says "what a creepy weirdo, why was I ever friends with him?"
