@jskellogg @anewbiegm Yeah honestly I've had similar experiences with Curse of Strahd. Now, I know a lot of people like Curse of Strahd. It's well put-together. But maybe I just don't like using modules. I've noticed a marked improvement when I started using homebrew material, especially my own campaign setting.

@StaleWhiteBread @jskellogg Curse of Strahd is one that never interested me, I'm a fan of pre-writtens, I've ran quite a few across different settings/systems. I've been lacking in both time and creativity for a while so they've been a real help.

Lost Mine of Phandelver and Dragon Heist for 5e DnD are modules I highly recommend. I'm running LMoP and playing Dragon Heist, so I have a slightly different perspective for each of the modules, but my interactions with each have left me really happy.
