Take a look at my bread, my bread is amazing~ 🎶

Basically first time ever I've made an entire bread from scratch.

@Lumi 👍👍

It's so *satisfying*, ne? I'd bake much more, but, the roomie dislikes crusts, where I adore them, and making a full loaf, or a batch of rolls, just for myself, feels a bit wasteful.

But oh, the crustiness I can manage with that simple "five minutes a day" recipe.. now, if I could only manage that vanishingly light interior of a genuine French baguette.. 😍

@porsupah It is~ <3
I LOVE the crunchy crust, makes it so much more tasty.

Ahh, I want to try baking a French baguette some day.
French bread in general is just so, SO good.

@Lumi We should have a bread party someday. =:D Mmm. And what they sell to put on it, too! I love seeing tubs of rillettes available in French supermarket deli counters, whereas here, you're lucky to find any available - indeed, only Ocado sells any, and even then, only Unearthed's pork. Beyond that, it's a 45 min bus journey to the butcher that sells French jars of duck, goose, and pork rillettes, plus some outstanding cheeses. =:9
@porsupah Yesss, bread party~
Ooh, back when I still ate meat I had mackerel rillettes once. Super tasty.

@Lumi Oooh, I can definitely see that. =:9

Hmm. Maybe I have a reason to head into town today after all (I've been searching for an excuse - I need to get out more, but it's such a dull day, and as dull a town) - M&S' baguettes are pretty good. ^_^

I'd love to pick up a tailoring measuring tape as well, but I'm not sure anywhere in town sells such - I'll likely have to make do with the roomie's metal one, to take some measurements for a corset or two from Orchard Corsets.

@porsupah Those are two good reasons to get out of the house, I'd say. ^^

Take a look inside a fabric store if you have one in town. Pretty sure they sell measuring tapes.

@Lumi Sadly, I seem to've gotten distracted by the allure of a good home-made curry. ^_^ And actual, proper rice, as I'm out of microstuff - more faff, but this is nice wild red rice. =:9

I don't think there is such a place in town, unfortunately - it's a weird mix, between poundstuff on the High Street and mid/upper end stuff in the arcade, like a soon-closing House of Fraser and a couple good cosmetics places, including MAC and Lush.

@porsupah Hey, nothing beats a good home-made curry. ;3

Hmm, that's too bad.
Although measuring tapes can sometimes be found at pound shops if you're lucky.
