"You don’t fix burnout by going on vacation. You don’t fix it through “life hacks,” like inbox zero, or by using a meditation app for five minutes in the morning, or doing Sunday meal prep for the entire family, or starting a bullet journal. You don’t fix it by reading a book on how to “unfu*k yourself.” You don’t fix it with vacation, or an adult coloring book, or “anxiety baking,” or the Pomodoro Technique, or overnight fucking oats." https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/annehelenpetersen/millennials-burnout-generation-debt-work

@entreprecariat As a note, ADHD is a real disorder. Not related only to millennials or burnout. And while pomodor,o meditation etc may not cure ADHD, these techniques definitely help.
@nanimo doesn't seem to me that the article denies the existence of ADHD. I think the core of the argument re: burnout is that more productivity/self-care doesn't correspond to less exhaustion.
@entreprecariat I definitely agree that the core argument is what you mentioned. The reason that I mentioned that is because the article starts with Tim that has ADHD (or thats what he says at least). People with ADHD do find difficult to do basic stuff if they don't have the right motivation. Which that is a different story.
