DeeSometimes, people online will post a screenshot of somebody's post somewhere and censor the username, but they'll censor it by just hastily scrawling a line over it and you can still see it and that kinda irks me

@sundevour I think it's an effort thing. It feels like people put in just the minimum amount of effort into it to make it look like they care, upon brief examination.
Either they don't actually care about the principle of doing it, or they don't think the principle should apply in their case, but they still pay lip service to it.
