@chaostheory @norikawa 1.) The whole point of mastodon is the fact that it's spread over the whole fediverse. Having a ton of people on 1 instance runs counter to the point of the network itself
2.) There has been some discourse over how .social is moderated. I'm not super knowledgeable on this one but it has been said that the moderation basically falls on one unpaid woman while garg makes tons from patreon

If I'm wrong lemme know 'cause I really wanted to switch to those two or solarpunk but heard things/read red flags in their descriptions👀
